Hey, I’m Emma…

I am a Mid Cornwall based freelance events and lifestyle photographer with over eight years of professional photography experience, alongside a twenty year career in education.

My work centres on people. I enjoy observing the small interactions, expressions and atmosphere that bring an event or environment to life, and capturing those candid moments in time that translate into natural, authentic imagery.

Clients often comment on the ease they feel during a shoot. I bring a warm, friendly and organised presence, allowing people to relax while I work quietly in the background. This helps create photographs that feel genuine rather than staged.

I regularly work with arts organisations, independent businesses and event managers across Cornwall, providing imagery for events, marketing and brand storytelling. I also photograph individuals and families who want relaxed, natural images that reflect real moments in their lives.

My background in education, including many years working with young people and community groups, has shaped my calm and people centred approach. It has also given me the confidence to work comfortably in a wide range of environments, from busy public events to more personal portrait sessions. I am on the DBS Update service and am happy working with all ages and abilities.

I am proud to be based in Cornwall and regularly travel across the county and the wider South West for commissions. Cornwall’s coastline and creative community played a key part in my journey into professional photography. Outside of commissioned work, you will often find me at live music events, exploring along the coast path or in the sea, continually inspired by the landscape and the way colour, light and movement shape each moment.
